Question about 2005 Dodge Stratus
2005 dodge stratus 4door. problems with fuel intake? car jerks at first and 2nd shifts but when you let go of the gas each time (before each shift) it doesnt **** as much and it goes by third shift. starts over when you have to stop. sometimes it doesnt start up right away. other times it'll take off fine (no jerks at shifts etc) but when you're cruising along it'll start jerking. i simply just let go of the gas and let it run and go again to keep the speed. is it the fuel pump? some say it is. i had $70 fuel cleanup done at jiffy lube and use fuel injection cleaner you can get at autozone etc spark plugs just replaced
Sounds like your tranny neeeds flushed, everything in that auto tranny is moved by the transmission itself, there are electronic valves that open and close to make things move but all they do is allow high pressure tranny fluid to push other things around. there is a lot going on in there, usually when the fluid gets bad or low or old the first thing is the govenor of the transmission will start acting up. check the level and the color. besure to read how to check the level, some times you have to have a warm tranny and running. other times not. also the color should be almost a clear pink, if its red or worse a dark red, get it flushed
