GOOD AFTERNOON... NOT SURE IF ONE IS RELATED TO THE OTHER BUT HERE GOES... A WEEK AGO I NEEDED THE FUSE FOR MY FRONT ACC SOCKET CHANGED. THE PERSON CHANGING THEM ACCIDENTALLY PULLED THE WRONG FUSE AND THE CAR SHUT OFF. HE PUT THAT ONE BACK LOCATED THE CORRECT FUSE AND CHANGED IT. WHEN HE WAS FINISHED I TURNED ON THE CAR TO LEAVE AND MY ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. WE TOOK THE CAR TO ADVANCE AUTO AND HOOKED IT UP TO THE DIAGNOSTIC AND IT SAID THAT I NEED AN 02 SENSOR. COULD IT BE A COINCIDENCE THAT THIS HAPPENED? SHOULD I GET A SECOND OPINION? OR COULD I REALLY NEED AN 02 SENSOR. 2004 HONDA ACCORD EX WITH 55K MILES

Pulling the wrong fues can reset the computer so it may take a while for it to reajust things .. you may find that the light will go off after several starts .. if it doesnt or if other symptoms show up then you may indeed have a marginal oxygen sensor if it hasnt been changed for 50,000 miles or so ...if it was marginal to start with then the computer reset could push it over the edge ... its not likely that the reset could do any damage however ...

Well, I would clear the code and see if it comes back.

The O2 sensor code could have occurred when the car shut off and the fuse being pulled may have been related to that.

So, I would drive it a while and if the engine light comes back on, then change the O2 sensor to see if the problem will go away.

I hope this helps.

Cigarette lighter not working

Check the ACC fuse under the Hood, there may also be a secondary fuse under the dash in the fuse panel (look at the diagram for that fuse).

it can also be one of the wires slipped out from behind the lighter, Remove the lighter to verify this.. the ACC fuse controls all accessories like the Stereo and such. so if the stereo is working and the fuse's are good changes are its a broken wire or one that became loose. PS check the wires with the IGNITION ON FOR POWER. if there is power replace the lighter unit.

Cigarette lighter does not work fuse is good how do I find the relay

are you useing the lighter as a lighter or pluging in an acc.. heavy smokers wear out the element 1rst. try testing the socket with a test light. touch the stud inside the socket, the back part with the tester, do not touch the side or you will blow the fuse, touch the edge of the socket with the tester ground clip. if the test light lights up, wiring is good and element is burnt inside, you need new. if acc. is plugged in sometimes prongs in socket will bend out of place, use a popcicle stick to rebend. Neither power outlet works

Interior Fuse Box (lower left, driver's side). Fuse number 9 (15A) FRONT ACCESSORY SOCKETS. I'm not sure, but Fuse 32 (7.5A) ACC, may be the rear accessory socket, if you have one.
Hope this is helpful for you.

Toyota Caldina 2001 no power to cigar lighter, radio, clock!

Hi there
If it was the front dash mounted lighter socket you used, the correct fuse is the 15A CIG & RADIO fuse (at the end of the second row) of the dash fusebox. If replacing the fuse hasn't fixed it, you may need to look closer at the wiring from the fusebox as it's likely the wiring has gone open circuit.
Take the fuse out and check for voltage at the terminals in the fusebox with the ingition key turned to the ACC position. One terminal or the other will have 12V on it. If no voltage on either you have a fusebox to ignition key wiring problem. Check for voltage on the ACC pin of the ignition switch, with the key turned to the ACC position. That's pin 3, a blue wire, of the 8 pin ignition switch connector. If still no volatge the switch is likely faulty. the voltage into the switch must be there as it also feeds the ECU and IGN systems, so the car wouldn't run at all if it wasn't.

There is another possibility. If you have an alarm system, immobilizer or turbo timer (assuming the GTT model) these devices could be interrupting the power lines and be the culprit devices.

I assume it wasn't the rear hatch area lighter socket you used, because the fuse for that doesn't power the radio or clock. The fuse for that socket is the 15A ACCESSORY fuse in the passenger side footwell fuse panel.
