I need to reconnect the radio to the antenna how do you get access to the back of the radio to plug in the antenna?

To gain access to the antena plug on 98 and later models the intrument cluster bezel has to be removed and the radio mounting screws removed in order to get to the connectors for the radio and antena connectors.TO remove the bezel you want to first remove the negative cable so that you dont accedentully set off the airbag system. Then you want to put the steering wheel in the lowest position and remove the screws in the bezel. Then with a flat screwdriver carefully pry the bezel the bezel out of the clips.Once this is done you will have access to the radio mounting screws.I hope this helps .

How do we replace the radio

remove the screws holding the front cover and then you will see four bolt screws holding the radio in place, remove them then slide radio out unplug the connrector and antena wire, if installing an aftermarket radio you will need the harness plug to make wiring easy and also a mounting kit to mount radio in car.

1993 Mercury Grand Marquis radio problems

There is a set of tools you need to pull the radio. They are two u shaped wires a little thicker than a standard wire hanger. You should be able to get them at an auto parts store or auto sound shop. They will come with instuctions on use. You can also make due with pieces of coat hanger but I would suggest buying the tools. They only cost about $10.00 and are much easier to use.

1985 ZX300 power antena problem. When the radio is turned on the antena goes down and when it is shut off the antena goes up. Al factory parts, radio, antena and all switches. Any ideas what would cause...

im guessing the antenna has been replaced and wires were mixed up. take the rear panel off in the trunk to give access to the antenna motor and look at the wiring there should be 2 small wires and one larger black wire. the black wire is the reception wire the other two are the power wires. switch the positions on the two power wires. say wire A is in plug 1 and wire B is in plug 2. final position should be A in 2 and B in 1. that should take care of it. good luck

Fitting new antena aerial to Saab 93

The replacement only costs about $20. The dealer can also provide a replacement but it can cost upwards of $50+. Part number is 5035944.

The hardest part is removing the metal sleeve from the mast pole. Once you get this out, refit the new mast with the teeth so the motor will pull the new mast down when you turn the radio off. refit the 17mm nut on top of the mast and then turn the radio back on. It will click a few times and then be properly set.
