Were is the nurses switch on a chevy equinox

I assume you are referring to the child lock-out switch for the rear doors.

On the 2005-2006 models, open the rear doors. The white plastic key operated cam is near the inside end of each rear passenger door.
Set to Horizontal to keep the inside rear door handles from opening the door, even when unlocked. Set to Vertical to allow normal operation. Test for that proper operation with each position.

I did an I-Net search for the term Nurses Switch and came up with nothing further. Hopefully this helps.

Friend has a dodge avenger 4 dr and has child safety lock enabled but cant open from inside or outside any way to get open ...... thanks

The Child Protection Door Locks (Rear Doors) are located inside the rear edge of the door. Insert the tip of the ignition key or similar flat-bladed object into the lock and rotate approximately one-quarter turn to the LOCK or UNLOCK position (as indicated by the stamped icons). WARNING!
Avoid trapping anyone in a vehicle in a collision.
Remember that the rear doors can only be opened
from the outside when the Child Protection Door
Locks are engaged.

The Rear Door Drivers side will not open with the remote or when I try with the door lever on the inside

Child locks are on.
There is a slot in the rear door lock for the ignition key that engages/disengages the child lock there is a diagram sticker next to it. Check your user manual under child locks.

My drivers side rear door will not open from the inside or outside

I had exact problem Santa Fe 2007 2008 lock was stuck in locked position and door would not open from inside or out. All other doors would unlock with auto key remote. Carefully work the inside lock towards the open position as you lock and unlock the door with the remote. As you press unlock try to assist the lock to open. I did this a few times and the lock became free to the open position and all worked perfectly after this.

Child door locks How do They work

Open the rear door. Look at the lock mechanism at the door's edge. There will be either a slot that you can easily turn with the end of your key, screwdriver, etc.or there will be a small lever that you flip (like a switch). There is usually a small label or marking of some sort indicating the child lock feature. This simply disables operation of the door handle from inside the car but can still be opened from outside the car. Thus, the parent can open from outside to access the child but the child cannot open from inside the vehicle, creating a dangerous situation.

If you find this solution to be helpful, then please take a moment to rate this post. - Thanks.

Volvo s40 rear doors wont open inside or outside

There is a child safety switch on the rear latch assembly that prevents opening from the inside handle. This switch may be on. Check your owners manual for more info.

Renault Clio Rear Door Lock Fault

It has nothing to do with the "child lock" It is a know problem in this car, they tend to get caught in lock. Only thing to do, is to take of the panel then the outside handle, and through that hole destroy the plastic covering the lock, a large screwdriver and hammer will do! Then you can release the lock, while you pull the inside release handle. Buy new!
