Try adding fuel treatment to your gas one that removes water from the gas. plenty of gas stations have water build up in there tanks especially at the bottom of the tank, your problem might just that simple.

Sounds like fuel delivery is your problem in this situation. either the lines is partially obstructed or dirty fuel filter, or the fuel pump itself isn't making enough pressure. I'd check the fuel pump pressure at the engine before it goes into the injectors.

2001 chevy Z24cavalier seems to have to much crankcase pressure at the same time can't get fuel to throttle body even though fuel pump is running is this related if not fuel pump

too much crankcase pressure should be handled by the pvc valve-fuel filter may be clogged-change them and you may be running again -cheers Denny

General advice:After warming up track the problem:sparkplugs (even new can have the ceramic parts broken/cracked /wiring (after warming up the isolation get's soft, can loose spark power)/ignition coil(s) (gets hot, stop runnig),running reach, fuel pump/fuel pump relay.Best guess:fuel pump mallfunction (low pressure) related, fuel filter cloged/water in the fuel/fuel line cloged/chipped. Cheers, hope u figure it out,let the people know.

if you already replaced the fuel filter, it could be low fuel pressure to engine from a bad fuel pump. check the fuel pump relay first ! it could be getting hot and shutting down. check the fuse too. and run some good injecter cleaner in it, the injecters might be clogging up. good-day !

You need to check fuel pressure at the fuel rail.if pressure is at spec. Check spark at the plugs. Also replace relay for fuel pump if it isn't working. Could be a bad new fuel pump. Pull the codes first.

Checking for spark is really simple while fuel delivery is more complicated because of the the way it is metered for delivery. On VW's a fuel pump relay is used and a jumper cable connected to relay box. This controls the fuel pump to deliver fuel manually. With a fuel pressure gauge connected to the line from the pump continued withing the system, you assess whether you have correct fuel pressure, maintain it within a specif duration. Electronic fuel injectors do stick or stay open causing very poor or no start condition. Make sure you have fuel delivery since you are positive that spark is present.
