Notorious moist climate symptom. Suggest first move would include pour a gas tank "moisture collecting" or "fuel conditioner" product into your tank at next filling. Darn good gas mileage on that little varmint.

If a gas additive solves the problem, you might reinforce the fix with a new gas filter. Its a big filter attached way back and center and expensive. But it's size means it will last a while. Two connection tubes (gas in/gas out). Use proper size wrench, and retighten snug.

What would cause my 1995 dodge dakota to shut off when driving it down the road? I t does not run rough or bad and has plenty of power. I have cjanged the knock sensor, distributor, cap and rotar, plugs...

Dakotas and Durangos are notorious for intermittent failures of the crankshaft position sensor. If you get a shutdown like someone just turned the key off, then this is a likely suspect. Fortunately, they are relatively cheap and easy to replace by the DIYer.

I replaced cap rotar and dist. now it cranks over but will not fire and is back firing

the timing is off a bit! heres how I do it. remove the number 1 plug, stick a straw or similar in plug hole. turn engine over by the crank shaft with a wrench. when piston gets to very top of bore, just before it goes down. this is tdc. remove distributor cap and remove distributor reposition the distributor rotor button facing number 1 plug wire inside cap. replace cap and try it! please let me know if this works for you. good-day ! if you can not get to number 1 plug. just turn the crank to tdc marks are on damper pully or crank. is this a 5.7,

Ford festiva 1991, it jerks a lot while driving. specially wen it drive after 4-6hr

most likely its your distributor cap. if its old it means its worn out and water will get into the cap and cross wires, which makes one of the spark plugs skip. replace your distributor cap and rotor.
