Question about 1995 Ford Econoline

1 Answer

1995 ford e-150 van cranks a lot before starting, but after starting it runs great. Does anyone know what this could be, I am getting fire to the plugs and I have had the fuel pressure checked and it was ok.

I have a 1995 f-150 with the 4.9 it runs great but sometimes it will not start.i walk away form it for a while and then come back it will fire right up.its not flooding

You may be getting water under your distributor cap. Try holding your foot on the gas all the way down till it starts, also replace cap and rotor. Check battery cables make sure they are not corroded

Ford 150 gas mileage issues

Your O2 sensors may be freaking out. The O2 sensors tell the ECM how much fuel to send through the injectors. When the O2 sensors quit working right, the ECM has no idea what to do with the fuel. Do a fuel pressure test as well. If the pressure regulator is working correctly, it'll go through alot of fuel as well. You should be at 40 psi. When running you should be at 37 psi.
