Open the back hatch door. There are two hex head bolts that hold the tail light assembly in place. Remove them. The fender side of the taillight is snapped on. With a little hand force (don't use a screwdriver, it may crack the light or scratch the paint) you should be able to pop the light assembly out.
The back of the assembly has sockets that hold the bulbs, in small print you should see the word "lock" and a direction arrow. Simply turn the socket in the opposite direction and the buld should pull out. When replacing it, make sure you don't hand the buld directly with your hands because oils from you fingers may shorten the life of the bulb.

SOURCE: How do I change brake light bulb on 2005 Nissan Altima

Don't look at the color boxes on the box ratings they will get you mixed up. On the inside of the
tailgait assembly there's two plastics one grey and one yellow. They have nothing to do with the
replacement of the bulb, read directions carefully.

No brake lights

One of three things: bulbs burnt out, brake switch bad, or no power to lights.

Take the bulbs out and test for continuity or replace. Check fuses, and/or check brake light switch typically located on the brake pedal shaft.

No low beam head lights

If you just want to replace the bulb yourself, this is a good website.
http://www.paulstravelpictures.com/Nissan-Altima-Headlight-Bulb/Nissan-Altima-Passenger-Side-Headlight.htm
If the website does't get your headlight fixed... You might have a blown fuse. It could be in the IPDM E/R location under the hood. This is next to the coolant bottle. Remove the coolant bottle with two screws and lift the cover to the IPDM E/R. Just set the coolant bottle aside for now. The low beam fuses are 49 and 50. They are 15A fuses. To be more precise, they are located on row 2, columns 2 and 3 (column 1 being closest to the fender of the car). Hope this helps.

2003 Nissan Altima 2.5 S

My brake light on my Altima 2003 2.5s is located inside the car against the back window. Slide the casing around the light toward the window to pop it off. I know there's not a lot of room there, but it slides a 1/4 inch or so. Then lift the casing off, replace with matching bulb, and return casing.
