Try watching this video on www.youtube.com, or enable JavaScript if it is disabled in your browser. Open the glove box. Remove the limiting stop arm. Release the glove box. Remove the old cabin air filter. Clean filter chamber and check seals and gaskets. Install the new cabin air filter.

I've had Caravans for many years and never had that problem however, if there is a cabin filter in the vehicle it is inside the air exchange box and you will have to open it to find the filter. Most likely in the top.
You will have to remove the cover on the vents and possibly try vacuuming the vents out. As far as I know, those older fords did not come with any cabin filters, only engine air filters.
The 2002/2003 Silverado was a change over year for Cabin Air filters. I know with the Chevy Avalanche
the 03's did not have them and 02's did. The dash/center console
changed with the 03's, and I believe it was done away with in that
change over.... Still shows up on catalog, but the 03 has no Cabin Filter.
It's under the dashboard. First you must dismount the accelerator pedal
(!), remove some dashboard plastic on driver side. The filter is
somewhere behind the central console. I think it should be changed every two years. Look into the manual. The
company where you take the car for oil & filter change every year
must change also this filter with no additional charges. Of course they
charge you for the filter, which is not very exponsive.
