Under the tranmission is a oil pan thats flat and a bolts all around it...undo the bolts and lower the pan... empty the pan then bolt it back on...now be shore to fill the trabnission up to the right amount to you can risk over heating a pre mature wear and tear...check sites from the right oil amount " at cold transmission...not hot"

it all depends on the person who owned it before you an how you take care of the car it could run for 1000000 or longer if you change the oil every 3,000 and keep up with the service and dont beat the heck out of it as far as the tranmission goes check the fluid level often the shift issue come from low fluids also make sure you have the transmission fliud filliter changed along with the fluids

Transmisson ingages in reverse car won't move

your transmission is slipping when its cold. when it warms up the parts inside expand and take up the slack that's caused by the clutches and bands inside being worn. start by checking the trans. fluid level and condition. if it's low, add fluid. if it's brown or black or sparkly, your transmission is junk and needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

Transmission fluid stick

No the manual transmisson does not have a stick. on the transmisson their are two plugs. One for draining and one for filling. In order to check the fluid, pull the higher plug out and feel with a finger in that hole for fluid. To set the level to the correct level you would need to drain and refill the trans. If no leaks are present you should be OK

Regarding the transmission, if you have an automatic, use genuine Honda ATF fluid only and only do a drain and refill. A power flush will damage the Honda Transmission. It should be drained and refilled every 60k initially, then every 30k afterwards.
