2oo5 chevrolet impala car trans work good for 1 mim then goed in to netural .stop car turn off for 30 sec then run fine for 30 more sec,

Sounds like the car is going into limp mode which does not mean there is a tranny problem. Take it and have it hooked to a code reader, you will need to find a garage or something because the cheaper ones that are sold in your local automotive supply stores dont read the trans codes. Another option is to turn head lights on with the key NOT in the ignition and take the negative cable off the battery, then remove the positive cable, wait 10 to 15 minutes then turn head lughts OFF, recinnect the positive THEN the negative battery cables. This will reset the on board ECM.

I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid that is drawing 19 volts on a 12 volt system so its not charging the battery and has to be jumped every time. Have already tried removing every fuse one at a time but its...

That is a pretty high draw. You might want to try disconnecting the wire that goes directly to the starter and alternator. How are you checking the draw? Do you have your meter leads in series between your negative battery terminal and negative battery terminal.

If the vehicle is not equipped with an air bag, skip Step 1 and simply disconnect the negative battery cable. Also, disregard all instructions below related to air bags.
  1. If equipped, disable the SIR system, as outlined in Section 6 of this manual.
  2. If not already done, disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the turn signal switch assembly.
  4. Remove the key from the lock cylinder. Remove the buzzer switch and clip.
  5. Reinsert the key into the lock cylinder and turn it to the LOCK position.
  6. Remove the cylinder lock-to-steering column screw, then remove the lock set.

Something is draining my battery overnight already tested battery starter altenator cellinoid

Hi there,

This response contains troubleshooting procedures designed to locate the cause of an overnight power drain resulting in a dead battery, It assumes the charging system is working.

The first (and easiest) test I run is on the battery.

When you are done using it for the evening, pull the Negative battery cable.

In the morning, re-connect it. If it's dead again, the battery need replacement. This does not necessarily mean you found the problem.

If it starts, the battery is ok. It's time to look for the power drain.

With the ignition off, ensure the systems that should be off actually are off. For example: does the radio still come on? Wipers? Etc.?

In the same vein, has anything new been installed lately?

The next test is a lot more tedious. You will need a test light, needle nose pliers (to pull fuses) and the proper tools to remove the negative battery terminal (again).
  • Ignition off
  • Remove the cable from the Negative battery terminal
  • Hook one end of your test light to the Negative battery post
  • Attach the other end to the cable you just removed
  • Again, double check connections to recent installations (radio, GPS, etc)
  • If it lights up very faintly, this is likely the normal drain of the clock. The brighter the light, the bigger the drain.
  • Find your fuse box
  • While keeping an eye on the test light, pull the fuses one by one. Replace the one just pulled before going to the next.
  • When the light goes out (or dims), you will have narrowed the the problem to a specific system. Check the legend on the fuse box for the offending fuse.
At this point there are too many 'What if's'. Which system has the drain will determine the next steps to be taken.

This procedure will allow you to focus in on the problem area. Let me know what you find out.

Hope this helps

Mike
