Question about 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 Truck

If it sat for a year and the gas in the tank dried up the pump is gummed up and needs to be cleaned. If it had fuel injection the injectors will have the same problem. You may be asking how that applies to your question. There is a safety built into the system that will prevent the coil from firing if a problem is detected in the fuel pump or if the injectors don't pressurize.
