Headlights flick on and off

When driving at night, the headlights flick on and off along with the dash board. Could a short in the braker system be causing this?

Hello my friend has an 06 jeep grand Cherokee and his instrument panel goes nuts as does his performance to the point we just turn the jeep off and re-start... i would suggest, headlight relay, check any and all fuses including the ones under the hood, if not anything along that then check the (map) sensor, knock sensor hope this helps

The entire backlight or taillight does not come on when driving at night. the headlight comes on but the parking does not. The brakelight and the reverse light are okay. it is just that back light does nt...

I would think you have a loose connector coming off the floor wire harness. I'm assuming both rear lights are not working.
It should run along the floor from the rear combination lamps to junction box at the frt just below the dash. It runs along the floor underneath the carpet.
