How many miles on engine is this the original engine has the car over heated , if the engine has high mileage it's ore than likely the oil ring on the piston is worn and aloowing oil to bypass into the cylinder....if the engine is a junk yard motor it could be a number of things,..if the car has over heated it can cause cylinder walls to become scored and in that case the oil rings aren't bad but the wals them selves are allowing the oil into the cylinder ,,, you would need to do a compresson test , wet and dry thi should help you out better

The cylinder that has oil on the plug might have a broken oil ring on the piston or the valve seal is leaking,it is very hard to diagnose which one it could be, but there is oil getting into the cylinder that should'nt be.....hope this helps....cheers

Red check Gage light on oil gage went all the way down.oil is full made a light nocking noise.still runs but makeing nocking noise.

Knocking noise is not a good sign. Could be the oil flow has been disrupted. Continued driving could damage the engine. Take it in for service immediately.

Hi there? check the oil level. if there is no oil in the engine, it will make it nock especially at the top end.
If the oil level is ok then start the car and remove the oil top up lead and check if there's any oil coming up to the top of the engine. it should pray oil out of the hole. good luck..

Cap or spark plug wire get wet. At the auto parts store you can get spray to fix this problem or put new cap and wire on.

If you're getting ticking-type knock, I'd first look to the lifters. if it's a real hard knocking, it could be your main bearings on the lower end

Two days ago i drove my car to work wen i got out of work i notice when i turned my car on it started to shake then turned off i checked all the engine fluids and also changed the spark plugs but it turns...

Hi!
Firstly clean the air filter.
Secondly the air and fuel mixture is not correct.
Nocking is mostly due to lack of air in fuel mixture.

Bad nock but still has lots of power

If it has a true knock it could be a spun bearing or piston wrist-pin,this being the case you'll need to get in to the motor. One way to locate the issue, as to what cylinder, is to run the engine at idle in park with E-brake on; remove and replace one at a time the spark plug boots. If you find by removing one boot from a plug and the knock sound drops out this could most likely be the cylinder at issue. I hope this may have helped,
Tom

I have a 2000 pontiac, four door, sunfire. I was driving on it for a fair bit of time before parking it in front of my house. When I went to go drive it again later on that night, the car would not turn...

Firstly does the starter turn the engin. If it does you need to check if you have fire on the spark plugs. You could pull out one of the plug wires. And by holding it close to plug ensure that you can hear a clicking noise while cranking the engin. Then you must also ensure that you have flow of fuel you can see this by differant ways best place to look is at the last point in your case the injectors. if there is no flow work your way back (remember to switch the ignition on).
There could be a few things wrong which should be cheked depending on your capabillities the cambelt could be broken. But you first need to start at the basics.

Nocking when cold then goes away (Proton coupe )

It sounds like you may have some sludge in your oil. When the engine is cold the oil is thicker and takes a while for the oil pump to pump it through the engine. The next time you change the oil. Do an engine oil flush first to clean the inside of the engine and ports. If this does not work you might have to have the oil pump checked. There is no need to worry as long as you have oil pressure and the knocking stops. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate this answer.
