Hello! Does the engine stall if the AC isn't on? With AC on will the engine idle or does it stall when you increase the throttle? Before you charged the AC was the engine running in a high state of tune?

Send a comment and I'll get to work on the problem...Guru...Saailer

wasn't stalling before, as it was charging the idle got rough and now it stalls when throttle is applied.

Hello! I suspect a faulty Idle Air Control Valve...It is located on the throttle body...Four wire connector...
    Pin A=Light Green/Black B=Light Green/White C=Light Blue/Black D=Light Blue/White...

Pull connector...Engine off...Using an ohm meter...Measure across...A&B and C&D must read between 20-80 ohms......Measure across...A&D and B&C must read infinity...wide open...If any of these readings are incorrect the IAC valve is defective...Cost is around $85...

Let me know what you find....Saailer

Your compressor's shaft seal is the most likely culprit. If you can find someone to replace the shaft seal and body gaskets in your compressor, you should be fine. Cavaliers use a V5 compressor, an excellent but leak-prone when unused.
