Check the belt alingment. Something could be in the belts pathway that is shredding your belt. Also check your compressor to make sure it is turning when the compressor clutch is engaged. If the clutch is engaging and the comprseeor is locking up it will burn the belt or snap it right off. Also check your tensioner pully and make sure it is free spinning.

1997 caravan battery went bad put on new one now wont start do anything do they havesome thing to do with theft system

Caravans have a single-point of failue issue at this advanced age. Much of the electrical wiring gathers into a bundle. After the heat of many summers, the insulation in the bundle breaks down, causing multiple system issues. The only fix is to replace the wiring harness, a job for an advanced technician, but not for amatuers who wish to retain their sanity.

What would cause my ac belt to break on my 97 dodge caravan the pullies move without the belt being attached ,but we did have a big squealing noise when we used the ac..

The squealing is from the crankshaft p[ulley turn the belt on another pulley that is not turning as faster, Let it sqeal long enough and it will burn the belt in half. The pulley on the A/C maybe turning freely, but when you engage the A/C, the compressor itself is not, causing it to squeal. My guess is that the compressor is locking up or you have added to much freon. Having to much freon causes to much pressure buid up and will stop the compressor.

Picture diagram to show me how to put the belt back on

If your serpintine belt fell off, and it is not broken, you have a much bigger problem then you think.
Before puttin a new belt on, check all pulleys, Power steerin, alternator, AC,Belt tensioner, waterpump The AC may or may not move ,
If one of those units don't move, don't put the belt on till you replace that which didn't move

they are ripping you off.
transmission fluid at the area you describe tells me that either the pan has a bad gasket,or a drive axle isnt properly installed, which can cause a "no go" condition as you stated.
The oil is completly sperate from the transmission and has no bearing on it whatsoever.
the squeling would indicate either a belt issue,or a sticking pulley on a part that the belts attach to.
look for a new mechanic.

Timing belt on 1997 Dodge Caravan keeps slipping off after new installation

I had a 1998 dodge caravan that kept doing the same thing, it would actually break the belt when it come off. I fixed this by buying a slimmer belt, you know, one that is not so wide. I put a slimmer belt on mine and I never had another problem. Maybe this will help.
