Question about Pontiac Aztek
What exactly you want to flush -n- fill. The coolant .or what exactly. If coolant then the procedure is as follows:--
There is a drain plug underneath the radiator It will be on the bottom right if you are facing your vehicle. Then fill from your Radiator.---------------
To locate the petcock (radiator drain) it should be near the bottom of the radiator on the side opposite the lower hose. simply turn the petcock (do not fully remove) the petcock is designed to let the fluid out without having to be completely removed. in order to expedite draining of fluid remove the radiator cap and there should also be small brass "vent" screw, its located near where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine and also within 2 inches of the thermostat. -------
Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
Drain the coolant until the coolant level is below the thermostat. Fill the cooling system. Place the funnel into the neck of the radiator.Mix the Dex-Cool antifreeze with water in equal parts to make a 50/50 mix or use already mixed Dex-Cool.Place the drain bucket under the the open radiator cap. Hold the antifreeze jug to pour so that it sits flat and carefully and slowly pour antifreeze into the funnel in the radiator neck. Pour in until it fills up to the radiator neck and allow it a couple minutes to settle and add more coolant. If the radiator has been drained, it will take most all of the two gallons, if you're just topping off, you'll have to wait and see how much it would take. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query.
