You do not say what design 3 series; but for E36 with electric seat adjustment, Odometer Gears (link below), makes replacement gears for the electric seats for approximately $40 each. This is the part that typically wears/breaks for seat reclining. Have the switch tested for the seat and also verify the seat has power to the switch before you do any parts replacing. Power seats have more than one electric motor and it very unlikely that all would stop working. Go under the seat and locate the heavy connector that comes out of the rug and connects to the seat, using a 12 volt test light probe the connector and see that at least one of the heavy wires there is "hot", you may need the key on. If you find no power check owners manual for the location of the power seat fuses, they are likely under the hood. Good luck and hope this helped. if both windows went at the same time it could be your comfort relay, i think the sunroof is on a different relay, taking it that you have checked the fuses, I paid £17 for the genuine bmw comfort relay and it fixed my window problem
I have an 86 190e too. Mine sunroof button is: Sitting in drivers seat look at your air conditioning vents. There will be (in mine) 3 switches above them. The one in the middle is the sunroof.Hope that helps..
i think the seat control unit controls both items. check the connections at this unit to see if they are still securely attached to the unit.
i didn't know your exact model as i could not find the 08 528i and didn't know if yours was LH or RH drive. take a look at the pic and look for box #1 under the seat.
hi i have the same problem the car have a water lick but i now what is the problem if you car have the sunroof the water come from ther tell you mechanic to put the car into the car wash end i going to see the water come from the sunroof the sunroof have 4 liter house en 4 corners on the car thats way the you car have water behind the driver seat
