Hi. Begin by changing the fuel filter. Also pour a bottle of a fuel additive called seafoam into your tank. This product is excellent and multipurpose. It will dry up water, and clean your fuel system. Once you pour it in drive for about 5 miles and your problem should be solved. If not, have your fuel pump checked. J.

buy a can of sea foam motor treatment at a auto parts store pour it in the gas tank with at least a half tank of gas disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 15 seconds reconnect, than start car and drive it should solve problem with hesitation if the problem comes back check for a bad injector are fouled spark plug, you should put sea foam or other brands of injector cleaner fuel conditioner in your gas every other fill up ethanol gas fouls plugs and causes injectors to clog because of the carbon that it forms on your pistons valves and intake runners, sea foam will cure this problem

My check engine light has been on for awhile now ,but now it starts blinking and at the same time it starts missing when i exelerate

go to auto-zone and have it scanned for free. to find the problem code. it could be the plugs, wires, etc. they will put a OBD-II scanner on it to read the problem code.

Clean the push connectors to the rear o/s light unit (follow the changing bulb instructions to get at the unit - it's quite straight-forward - I managed and I'm not exactly handy that way). You may need to push it back on now and again, but this does the trick for me - same problem.

Will not turn more than 3000 rpm

You need to check for a possible defective fuel pump or a restricted catalytic converter (excessive exhaust back pressure)
