Sounds to me like you might want to either check that fuel pressure like you said you hadn't done yet but at minimum since you said it has been sitting for a year or so and if it hasn't been started, gas can turn bad if not being circulated every so often, I would replace the fuel filter. When you take the old filter off,pay attention to how the gas smells. It should smell like when you fill up your tank. But if it has this foul smell, believe me it will be a noticible smell, Then your gas has turned bad and you should drain it out and refill it with fresh gas.
