Question about Honda Civic
NO its a good feature.And in case if goes short or faulty.you can get the normal ignition switch installed to start the car.
This will not harm your car in any way.
But after some months or years this push button fails internally.It can be replaced with same push button type ignitions or with normal key ignition.What ever you wish.
continue using the push button.
