Hello! The fuel pump connector (C-1) has 4 wires labeled A, B, C, and D...

Colors are...Purple (A)...Gray (B)...Black (C)...And Black (D)...

A goes to the PCM C2 Pin #69...B to fuel pump relay C2 pin B5...
C to Ground...And D to fuel tank pressure sensor C2 Pin A...

Fuel pump fuse (15A)...Under hood fuse block...Feeds fuel pump relay contact...Other side of which is the Gray wire at fuel pump...Relay pull signal from PCM (+12 volts) is applied to relay on C1 pin #A5 Dark Green/White wire

could u tell me why I may not be getting power to the wire harness plug in ? when ether was sprayed directly in the intake the van started right up ran for a few then died after taking the the tank back off and checking the wiring is when we found that the the harness plug in was not receiving power to the fuel pump we had to wire in a new plug because it had burnt on the old plug all of those wires tested hot even the gray one on that end but when the part was tested at the outlet the wiring harness plugs into there was no power . we have checked the relays and fuses and they r getting power and r working so I am kinda baffled :) do u think it is an easy fix ? or do u think I will have to replace the pcm ? Thank you for ur help

Hello! I need to be certain that I understand the problem...Correct me if I'm wrong...Presently there is a new connector at the fuel pump and the tank is re-installed...When you check to see if the pump has +12 volts you checked at "the other end"; Are you checking at the fuel pump relay? Which is the other end of the Gray wire...If the FP relay is pulling there will be +12V on that wire...The bottom line is this...I need to know if the FP relay pulls...The best way to know for sure that it pulls is to check for +12V on the Dark Green/White wire at the FP relay in the under hood box (C1-A5)...OR at Pin 3 on the PCM connector...Push a safety pin into the rear of the connector on Pin #3 (Dark Green/White)...Connect + meter probe to the safety pin and other probe to ground...Crank the engine...If there isn't +12V on that wire the relay isn't getting a pull signal...

No pull signal means the PCM is not receiving correct sensor input...The sensors can be tested...I doubt the PCM is at fault...

A solution is close at hand...Let me know what you find...............Saailer

Interesting.
You have something that is keeping the fuel pump relay engaged other than the computer. The computer is supposed to ground the relay.
Or the computer is acting up.
The only thing in the gas tank is the pump and the sending unit for the gauge. And the power for the gauge should be off with the key switch off.
You may need a shop manual or repair book to get the wiring diagrams needed to trace the pump circuits.

How do i replace a fuel pump in a 2002 chevy venture

The fuel pump is in the fuel tank and hopefully it is on empty as they are heavy to drop down when a lot of fuel is in them.Disconnect the fuel tank electrical connector which is on the drivers side under the van between the rocker panel and the tank. Next disconnect the fuel filler hose connections at the tank and then the 3 straps that hold the tank up (15mm bolts).Once the tank drops a foot, reach in on top of the tank and disconnect the fuel and vent lines. There is a tag on the wires at the tank that you may need to get the correct replacement pump.

Chevrolet venture 2002 fuel pump fuse in underhood fuse box blows on just switch on the ignition switch even the pump connector is removed

It is typical problem and one of your most expert can diagnose it.That's why you should take it to a qualified repair shop . Sounds like you don't have any electrical trouble shooting skills . Short is in the wiring somewhere going back to the fuel pump . Not in the fuse box.
