Will a 06 impala water pump fit on a 99 buick lesabre?

You have to get the correct pump for the displacement of the engine. They may look like they will, but may not pump enough volume of coolant so just get the one for your engine.

Can a water pump from a 2000 Taurus duch 24 valve V6 fit a 3.0 V6?

they are both 3.0 liter engines. One is a DOHC and one is a OHV. They are completely different water pumps. One is located on the front of the engine and driven by the serpentine belt and the other is on the backside of the engine driven by a belt that is driven by pulley of a cam shaft.

There are many online parts stores that will show you pictures of parts and part numbers. It doesnt take to long to look up parts and compare them on these sites.

Where is the water pump on a 2001 Windstar??

Well, it's not the water pump. That's on the other side. Your looking at the upper radiator hose, t-stat housing, the hose for the heater core, plus fittings, and the intake manifold gasket.

I have a coolant leak on a 2001 Malibu with a 3.1 engine that is leaking behind water pump. It is not the pump as I have replaced it. New radiator replaced the old one which was leaking. I have checked all...

If it was a freeze plug, it would keep leaking with the engine off. You are going to have to move stuff around, is there a hose outlet down there? Some GM engines had a plastic fitting screwed into the block for a bypass hose fitting. I found one that had broken off flush with the block.
It might help if you register for free at autozone.com. You can list your vehicle information, then look for anything to do with the coolant system. A Haynes manual would almost certainly have a good description. + Good luck.

Common sources are: hose fittings are loose-look for leakage signs, radiator cap not tightened, water pump shaft seal leaking, gaskets around water pump, thermostat, radiator cooling tube(s) leaking from damage (stones, debris).

If you had no noise prior to replacing the water pump then the noise will be at the water pump. Remove the belt and turn the water pump by hand and you should feel the noise. I suspect fan bolts too long or water pump bolts not fitted in the proper holes and hitting on the pulley. If the problem can be felt in the shaft of the water pump I would take it back to whoever fitted it and have them re do the job as it may be that the impellor is hitting on the inside of the engine housing water jacket.

Water pump

Hello drain the water from the radiator by removing the hose from the radiator to the water pump, after having taken out the hoses, then unscrew the bolts that hold the water pump. After having taken the pump, clean the surface where the pump is fitted on the engine. Now when putting, the new pump, put a clear layer of silicone gasket on the surface where the pump will fit to prevent leakage, now you screw the bolt to the same torque, then after put the hose back like it was before, fill your radiator ,do not put the cap now, because of an air lock in the water circuit, start the engine, you will see the water level lower, fill it to its level, then put the radiator cap.Hope that help you in changing the pump, good luck
