Question about 2001 Honda CR-V

1 Answer

The window on the driver's side has seems to be off the tract. It has fallen all the way down. It sounds like the motor works ok. I am a single Mom and cant afford the prices i have been given to fix it. I am pretty smart and wonder if you can tell me how to fix it myself. I cnnot find a schematic for the door paner or any of it so I do not know where to start. Could you please direct me as to how I can fix it. Thanks

I think the bolt of the window mechanism got lose. You need to remove the door panel. It have screws inside the speaker cover, door handle, and the door opener.

VW bettle 2000 power window fell down power motor works but won't lift window drivers side

You may have a number of problems, all can be answered by removing the door pnl and inspecting. The window may have fallen out of the track, the window motor may have fallen out of the regulator, the motor's drive system may have stripped or broken, the regulator itself may have failed or broken or the window is no longer attached to the regulator. Pull the pnl and start inspecting. Good luck!

2000 xterra driver side control panel-everything works but the driver side window. I can pull it up a certain way -hold my ****** out to the right & lean to the left and it will roll up. it rolls down...

Hi Wendy Lee,

It is possible that the window switch is going bad, but it is also possible that the window motor is going bad. Either way, you would have to remove the door panel to do any kind of testing. One very easy thing that you can do is contact your local dealership or search online for any recalls on that particular problem for your make and model. I do know that Nissan had a recall for this particular problem on the 2001 Xterras. Perhaps your make is included. If not, then trying a different window switch (new or used) will narrow the possibilities. If a different switch doesn't fix it, you can all but bet it's the motor. Compare prices from parts stores and junkyards. I hope this helps in some way.

Passenger side window stopped working, is this a fuse problem? Driver's side is still functional.

It's not a fuse issue. Can you roll the window to the passenger side down with the drivers side panel? If you can then the control panel on the passenger side needs replaced. If you can't then the regulator/motor/tract for the window on the passenger side would need to be addressed.

88 jeep cherokee. Auto Window won't go up,Single mom needs help!

Mine has the same problem. I tapped lightly on the motor, which is inside the door panel directly below the arm rest-door handle. It went up ok. I was told by a friend this morning you can take the electric motor out, open it and clean the brushes inside and it would work like new. I am in the process of doing that now.

Rolled driver side window down..wont come back up..all other windows work..its very humid in new york.could that be affecting it.

No, humidity should not effect your window. Sounds more like the motor has gone bad or the tract has came loose from the window. Let it set for and hour or so and start the car try to roll up the window and pull at same time to get it up. wait in between trying to raise it or the motor may get hot and then lock up.

Driver Window

Sounds like a motor, or a s stuck mechanism. Either way the door panel must come off and this is no easy task.
