SOURCE: How to remove the spare tire on 2001 Chevy Blazer

if the vehicles spare is located under the rear cargo area then there may be a hole located in the rear bumper next to the license plate. if the vehicle is equipped like that then there should be a few straight bars that attach together to form a long bar. this bar is then inserted into this hole and mated with a joint witch is connected to a pully system that raises and lowers the tire. if this didnt make any sense or if it is totally wrong then you could consult the owners manual. all of the necessary procedures are in that book.

SOURCE: Water in spare tire compartment of trunk after heavy rain.

U need to carefully check the seams of the sheetmetal for any sign of water or dirt from the road, there is no common leak on these cars, in fact they seldom leak anywhere, the water is most likely splash up from the road, unless u left something out like it was sitting when this water accumulated. Let me know that info.

SOURCE: determine how to securely mount my spare and jack in 99 sebring

Put the long metal bolt in first, then the jack which needs to be opened enough so that it will fit inside of the tire, usually there is a diagram on the carpet piece that goes over the spare. Then you put the tire on and then the metal plate that usually comes on top to hold it in place, then you screw on the one tightener. Then put the carpet back and put the last tightener on to hold the carpet. If you have further questions, let me know

Look in the trunk, there should be a compartment under the rug or mat, lift the mat and you should see the cover of the compartment, lift that cover, the tire should be right there.
