The check engine can be reset by disconnection of the NEGATIVE battery cable for 5 minutes or ask a local Kragen or Autozone parts store to reset the light, they will do this for free as well as read the fualt code that is stored in the memory of the engine/emission system control computer whenever the light is turned on, just tell them you would like a OBD2 fault code test, PLEASE.
