it means the oil pressure is low and may be low enough to damage the engine if you keep drving/running the engine. it would help if you could tell us the actual oil pressure, engine and mileage . basically, the oil pressure may be low enough to wreck your engine, then again it may be bs......

SOURCE: MY IMPALA 2007 LT IS LEAKING OIL GASKET WAS REPLACED TWO MONTHS BACK IT HAD BEEN FINE BUT JUST YESTERDAY OIL PRESSURE LOW SENSOR CAME ON & NOW I NOTICE IT'S HAVING A SLOW WATER DRIP PROBLEM AS
07 Impala 3.5 Oil pressure sensor failure. sensor is located above the oil filter a long extension and a 27mm socket will get it changed out in 10 minutes. New sensor was 30 bucks
