Question about 1997 Buick LeSabre

Air doesn't blow out of dash vents

When I try to select the dash vents, I only get air out of the defroster and heater vents. Where do I look to fix this problem?

If it has automatic climate controls.Look to either a blend door actuator or the ac programmer. A vacuum leak at the ac programmer or actuator can also cause this if they use vacuum.

I have a 96 chevy k1500 pickup. I have a water leak coming from under dash on passenger side. Oh but that's not it, my heater doesn't blow hot. It only blows cold and out of the defrost not any...


It's unfortunately the heater core that's leaking. It's very involved to replace it if you have mechanical aptitude, you can change it yourself to save money.

Often a sign of a blend door problem. The blend door or doors are in the heater a/c box behind the dash.

My Defrost doesn't work


Check to see if the duct hose to the defroster vents has come loose. If air is blowing out under the dash when you have the control set to defrost, then this is likely.

common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.

98 winstar.My van has quit blowing air out of the vents. Air only comes out the top where the defroster blows. What has happened? Reccomended repairs?
