How to set idle for 1984 mustang 3.8L, 6cyl

Technically the idle speed is not adjustable. The computer controls idle speed with the idle speed control motor.
Base idle is around 500 RPM with normal idle in park at 800.

How to set timimg on a 2001 ford mustang v6

WHAT timing are you wanting to set? If you are trying to set the ignition timing, you are wasting your time because the ignition timing is not adjustable. If the ignition timing is incorrect, there is a mechanical malfunction that needs to be fixed.
