Question about 2006 Pontiac Solstice
I'm assuming that you are talking about REDUCED ENGINE POWER LIGHT...
This light will come on briefly when the ignition is turned on.
If the reduced engine power light is on, but there is no reduction in performance, proceed to your destination. The performance may be reduced the next time the vehicle is driven. The vehicle may be driven at a reduced speed while the reduced engine power light is on, but acceleration and speed may be reduced.
This and other details can find in the 2006 Pontiac Solstice -Owners Manual in Instrument Panel Section.
If this isn't the waning light that you need solve, tell us more details.
Other way to know what happen there is make one scan to ECU for knowed OBD fault codes, try it.

No. It is not possible for the transmission fluid to do that. You have not stated what symbol is in the yellow light. Does it have a temp symbol inside the yellow light, or anything that indicates oil? There is no way of knowing what it could be without knowing what symbol is in the yellow light. If you can, can you please find out what that light is and let me know? I would appreciate it very much in order to try and determine what could be the cause.
