The a/c and water temp gauge quit working at same time. The next day both worked fine a month later both quit working again. 2006 hhr

Suggest you look for a vacuum leak. Could be a disconnected hose or a intake manifold gasket failure.

Sounds like someone shorted the wires...you need to look into the entire butcher job and see what wires were touched. Disconnect everything the butcher did and then see if your battery is still drainning power.

I had the same problem. after i spent $600 and 3 different service centers they found the thermostat was stuck open. the oring had gotten stuck.

i reckon it could be your starter motor or battery-did the lights come up onto the dashboard when you turned the key-if they did then it is not the battery

2006 Chevrolet HHR LT Problem

After searching around, I found several posts that suggested reseating all the relays and fuses under the hood. After checking, I noticed nearly all of them were not seated well. I pushed them all down and I haven't had the problem since.
