All you need to do is to trace the thicker piping of freon from the compressor to the low side port. The thinner piping is the high pressure side.

How to add Freon to 2005 dodge Durango 5.7L HEMI V-8

This is one thing I insist people have a technician do. If you do not do it correctly two things will happen -- damage to the compressor and damage to the environment. First you need to have the CORRECT grade of Freon, and you need the access tool kit to make the connections and you have to have the correct volume of Freon.

2000 dodge durango, a/c compressor stopped working after freon was added, did I do something wrong?

at a rough guess you add excessive amounts of freon and that caused the compressor to seize up
gas is added using pressure gauges and not by the can
besides that did you use the correct gas as the r134a runs at a much higher pressure and will deliver liquid back to the compressor which is not good for the operation

Where to add freon on 1999 dodge durango

At the low pressure port, that is the side with the larger line from the AC pump. The charging kit only goes on the correct fitting, so you will not be able to hook up to the wrong port.

I need to no how to add freon to my 1998 ford explorer and what type of freon does it take

Adding freon to a car requires connecting the low-side service valve first, followed by the high side, recovering the existing freon, evacuating the system of air and recharging the system with new freon.

I need to change freon in my dodge durango 2000 how do i do it

You don't. First off it contains R134 and not R12 Freon. You do not change refrigerant you add to it but only after you repair the leak. You add refrigerant at the low port side. Normally a blue or black cap with an L on it. It is the larger pipe. If you have no leak and the A/C is working fine then do nothing. If you have a leak then you need to have it repaired by a pro.

What would cause the ABS motor to stay running on a 1998 dodge durango even when the ignition is off?

This is a common problem for the older generation 1 Durango's which were 1998-2003.

The temp fix is to pull the fuse providing power to the unit until it can be replaced.

There are places on Ebay and elsewhere who will swap you a repaired unit for yours and some cash. You could also try a salvage yard.

There is much information on the net about this problem.

My blower works good but takes forever to heat & the ac does not cool, now the abs and brakes lights come on

Hi, 1st of all, if the light came on for the abs brakes, its time to have them serviced. As far as the heater, check the coolant level in the tank. If it is low and the radiator is low it will take for ever to warm the auto. The a/c has nothing to do with heater, except the fan. Look at the a/c pump when you turn it on and see if the clutch on the front of compressor is coming on. If not, you may be off on the low pressure switch. If you have had to add freon before you have a leak. If not you could have developed a leak You can pick up a can of R-134A freon at Auto Zone with the hose and gauge and connect it to the fitting on the low side which would be the larger of the 2 going to it.If the gauge reads no pressure, then follow directions and add the can. If the compressor is good, the clutch will engage and start to pump. If so, you will need to locate leak and have it repaired. Good Luck,
