Interior lamps will not shut off in my 2007 PT Cruiser

I loathe my 2007 PT Cruiser!! i bought it used from the dealership just over a year ago and it has been giving me constant headaches. my current issue is that the interior lights will NOT shut off...even when the car is turned off and all of the doors are shut, the lights remain on. i solved the issue by taking out the fuse but with doing this, i now have no power locks at all. what's the deal with these crappy things? and what's the problem with mine?

Did you try the little dial on light and signal selector? It may be in the "Always on" position. This dial makes dash lights dim/bright.

I'm buying one. Any issues or problems I might need to know about thanks

There are a number of different sites online that do reviews on vehicles; here's one from Edmunds 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Consumer Reviews and another from Kelly Blue Book 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser
and for every good review there is most likely one that points out the bad items, here's one from Car Complaints 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser problems
To find articles like this just put the year, make and model in any search engine and make sure to read more than one.

Does anyone know the exact location of the interior fuse box. wiper and turn signals are out of a 2007 pt cruiser or if the fuse box in the engine is the only one

open the drivers door and look up by the door hinges... if you are working on a pt cruiser I think that's where it is... should be a little lift off cover

I have just bought a Chrysler pt cruiser but not from a dealership. The seller does not have the code for the radio so where do I find the code?

If it is a factory installed radio, take the serial number to the dealership. I think they could get it for you.

My interior lights in my 2007 pt cruiser wont go off. I had to pull the bulbs out of the dome and reading lights so the battery wouldnt go dead can you help me?

There is a short in the wiring of your interior lights. The wire has come loose and is now shorting against the metalic roof of your car. Remove the interior light from the roof enough so you can see the wires. Make sure the contacts are secure to the pins in the bulbs

Steering wheel vibration

likely either an out of balance tire, out of round tire, or a shifted tire belt. less likely, it could be a seizing constant velocity joint.

I bought a 2007 pt cruiser [used] 30k and had no owners manual i noticed its almost time to add some anti-freeze and the caps says special coolant see owners manual what kind do i need?

Do use anything but Mopar 100,000 or Zerex g05. As for manual> Sorry not good with links. Go to Chrysler's main website. On the website find TechAuthority, FREE downloads of manuals 2004 to 2010.
