SOURCE: adjusting 2001 nissan frontier headlights

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

If you have one adjustment screw, it will control your vertical aim. If you have two adjustment screws, one will control your vertical aim and the other will control your horizontal aim

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

Could be one of a few things. Head light switch bad, hazard light switch/relay could be the problem or your turn signal switch.

199 Nissan Frontier xe headlights work but when the high beam switch is pushed forward the headlights go off

Maybe its to much for the circuit to handle so the automatic circuit protection(ACP) kicks in and shuts it off.

02 nissan frontier sc need to take the stereo out, any diagrams? adding an aux input for mp3. THANK YOU

Nissan have a habit of changing their stereo loom colors on each model , so take nothing for granted. The other thing to watch for is a wire that appears to be an earth but powers up when the headlights are turned on . On most Nissans the centre cover around the stereo can be removed without pulling the whole dash apart, check for screws in and behind cup holders and ashtrays, often accessed from underneath. When looking for the speaker wires, I use an AA cell with a couple of wires soldered to it to connect across the suspected wires and induce a crackle from the speaker , handy to isolate left from right. Good luck
