Hi there i have swift sports 08 and wanting to replace headlights.Do i need to remove front bumper/apron/spoiler first ?, if so what tool do i need to remove button fasteners holding inner guard to fender ?. Can you please guide me on complete process start to finish Thank you in advance for your time and knowledge . KJ.

the bolts will probably all snap, so be prepared.
you have to remove the front bumper to get access to the two bolts underneath headlamp. Dont lever it out, it will snap!

1: gain access to the rear of HL.
2: twist the European style, HL , lamp holder, and it unlocks
3: replace lamp.
if you want to replace the the HEAD LIGHT SHELL that is different.
remove grill, remove shell, replace shell, align lamps.

Believe it or not, this is the headache to remove and replace the headlights:

Removal & Installation

1. Remove the front bumper cover.
   
2. Remove the tool box and the luggage compartment trim (carpet).
   
3. Remove the 2 bolts and the nut.
   
4. Disconnect the connectors, then remove the headlight
   

1. Front bumper cover removal-MR2

To install:

1. During installation, if the headlight is damaged, it can be reinstalled by installing new retainers.
   

If the headlight is damaged, cut off these retainers

Install new headlight retainers

You have to remove the bumper first...

Tools Required:
- socket wrench/socket kit
- 8mm socket
- 10mm socket
- flathead screwdriver
- flathead stubby
- torx driver set

Optional Tools:
- car jack
- monkey (to hold your work lights)

Instructions:
- jack up car (optional)
- At least jack up one side of the car

1) Remove 4 screws on top of bumper ( under hood, above kidney grills)
2) Remove 2 screws in each wheel-well, and clip bumper trim away from wheel-well trim
3)Push wheel-well trim away so you can unfasten 2 screws inside that hold top part of bumper to the car on each side
4) Release about 7 Screws on bottom of bumper from underneath
5) Remove bumper by uncliping each side and then pulling bumper forward

Foglights will stay in place. simply disconnect the cable.

After you remove the bumper and unplug the Foglights
1) To remove the lights you also need to remove the bracket that hold the lights
2) Remove the blots on the bracket and top of headlight.

Installation is in the reverse of removal...

yes the front bumper needs to come off see instructions below

1. Remove the front bumper and front bumper upper beam.
2. Disconnect the connectors.
3. Remove the four mounting bolts, then remove the headlight assembly.
4. Install the headlight in the reverse order of removal.
5. After replacement, adjust the headlights to local requirements

Hi, viewers! For the 2008 Acadia headlights replacements, standard procedures require removal of the front bumper fascia for ease of movement and effective replacement or repair jobs. But in actual practice, this isn't always so. As much as we can manage, we dont have to reach to that point of bumper removal unless absolutely necessary. The alternative approach will require some patience and wits to work your way around ,as fast and as effective as possible. Practice makes perfect as they say. : )

yes they are interchangible except the front spoiler is different, but everything else is the same. (the front lower spoiler on the 93 has built in fog lamps)
Pretty easy repair and I could only hope his car is the same color....
