Either the refrigerant is low, or the low pressure cut out switch( the one you are jumping out) is bad. The switch is cheap, and just screws onto the schrader valve on the accumulator, so you will not loose the charge when yo change it.

I believe the seats are bolted to the floor of the van. Make sure you unplug all electrical connections before removing the seats.

Ac compressor clutch will not engage on my 98 yukon.

The most common cause of no clutch engagement is a low state of refrigerant charge in the system. Have a set of AC pressure gauges hooked up and bypass the compressor cycling switch and check the pressure on the low side charging port, you show shop 28-32 PSI at idle.

I have replaced the ac compressor accumulator and it will not engage the compressor.

di you replace the orfice tube; drain the system of freon, and recharge the entire system, and put the pag oil back in? If this was not done, your system will not work, because of an auto shut off valve.

Adding freon to the auto air conditioner, the

On that model,it will cycle on and off while you add freon. If it does not ,then the ac system might have a problem. The low side pressure switch is located on,or near the accumulator .Unplug the switch and take the wire end plug and connect the two plug in`s together(cross it out on the wire). This will make the ac compressor engage and you can charge the system,do not leave the wire connected, plug it back up to switch. If the ac compressor does not come on ,then have the system checked out.
