On the waterpump bypass hose leading into the cabin heater core; you will find a vacuum controlled heater valve; move it manually to allow the hot radiator water to access the heater core and, give you heat then: repair either the valve or, vacuum source. the sorce is from the engine intake to the heater control head to the valve. also; some tauruses had electrick heater valves; check those with a meter after manually moving them to the open position.

Heater will not get hot. I have replaced water pump and thermostat

Make sure you have a good 50/50 solution of coolant. too much antifreeze solution can effect heater operation. test the heat hoses and make sure both hoses are hot .if one is hot and one not so hot the heat core could be restricted and needs flushed out

Have a taurus 2000 and its not heating the air con is fine. took it to the mechanic they change thermostat, changed some fuses and they flush the pipes conected to the coolant reservua and sill nothing not...

If they actually flushed the heater core itself you will need to check that the valve that allows coolant to flow through the heater core is operating properly. There should be a valve near the firewall where the 2 hoses attach to the heater core. In heat mode the valve should open and in A/C mode it should close. Please rate this answer, thanks.

No heat, already replaced thermostat

Check for heat at the heater core at the 2 hoses at the firewall.
If they are hot and the inside doesn't get warm or hot, then there is a blend door problem.
Otherwise, if the heater core isn't getting hot, there is a restruction or clog in the heater core.
The heater core will have to be flushed out or replaced.

No heat

You possibly need to purge the coolant lines of air. there might be a air bubble in your heater core.

2000 ford taurus air from heater gets cooler when fan speed is turned up did a flush put in new thermostat, did not help

You have to disconnect the heater hoses right at the heater core and flush the core by it self. I have done this numerous times with good results.

I have a 2000 Ford Taurus that has no heat. The heater core and thermostate have been replaced yet the air blowing from my vents is cold.

Please check your control valve it is operates on vaccum to pull the valve open, and it will before your heater core, most likey it will be under the dash,
