I have a 2003 mazda tribute with a 6 cylinder engine. It will not start in the morning but will start up in the evening. I dont understand this. I replaced the inline fuel filter 4 days ago. Is it the fuel pump that is the cause of all my pain?

It cranks but does not start. Its like it isnt getting enough gas to start but in the evening it starts up and runs with no missing or idling issues. Then after it starts and i turn the vehicle off I can restart it with no problems.

This is either a fuel pump issue or fuel lines being clogged try a fuel cleaner before replacing fuel pump as it could just be clogged.

i do not think that a fuel cleaner additive will help --BUT-- you never know this is one of them catch 22 type situations where you kick it up the exhaust and swear at it in japanese and then it works for ever after ,if i had it in front of me and tried it myself in the morning i would no doubt sort it out ,but as you appreciate that with anything mechanical combined with electronics is a disaster area for fault finding

My Mazda Tribute 2003 difficult to start especially in the morning. Battery is ok and weather not an issue (in Tanzania East Africa)

There are a few things that could be causing this issue. The first thing to check is the spark plugs and wires. If they are worn out or damaged, they can cause the engine to have difficulty starting. Another possible cause could be a faulty fuel pump or fuel filter. If either of these components are not working properly, it can cause the engine to have difficulty starting. Finally, it could be an issue with the ignition system. If the ignition system is not working properly, it can

Im looking for a wiring diagram for the coils on a 2003 Mazda Tribute V6 3.0

I hope this helps. If you have a misfire, cylinders 1, 2, and 3 are on the back of the engine and 4, 5, 6 are on the front of the engine. Replacing the coil usually fixes the problem. Sometimes it does not and usually then you will find a bad terminal at the PCM connector, but its pretty rare.
