I need to replace the battery in my daughters 2004 Chevy Colorado, it appears the battery is protected in a box of some kind. How do we get this open to replace the battery?

Look for bolts if its metal but a lot of cars have a plastic box type cover which has a push in clip down the bottom of the casing

I have a 2002 gmc envoy and the code comes up POO14, what does that mean. i have also a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer and my daughter is driving it and she says that all the dashboard lights come on while...

Hi

that code is cam sensor for the first question, the second one your daughters car sounds like either a battery earth problem or a alarm / immobiliser issue. quite common on that model, the dealer will know more worth giving them a ring for some advice before going any further with your daughters car.

Also your car have both the cam and crank sensor checked, crank sensor is normally p0017 but I have heard that p0014 code can be either.

Hope that helps

Sulfur smell coming from my 2004 chevy colorado wont start unlss i jump it

You have a bad battery and it needs to be replaced. The rotten egg or sulfer smell is coming from the acid in the battery. I would not continue to jump the vehicle as the battery could explode.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A LEAK OR THE PADS ARE WORN OUT TO THE MAX, ALSO YOUR GARAGE SOUNDS VERY BAD, ROTORS DONT NEED TO BE CHANGED THAT OFTEN, THOU RECOMMEDED TO BE CHANGED EVERY 3 TO 4 SETS OF PADS, DUST ON THE BATTERY IS NOT UNCOMMON CAN BE LACK OF USE, OR JUST BAD CONECTIONS, AS THIS CAUSES THE ALTENATOR TO UVER CHARGE THE BATTERY CLEAN ALL CONNECTIONS TO STARTER AND CHARGER AND GREASE WHEN FITTING
