SOURCE: Ford Mondeo Mk3 Estate 2L. Air bag / seat belt Warning Light

Common fault on FORD
Usually due to a poor connection in the YELLOW PLASTIC CONNECTOR underneath the passenger seat.

Just push it together properly and it should clear the AirBag fault

SOURCE: 1999 ford explorer - horn doesn't work.

The first step would be to check the fuse. It is probably inside the cabin fuse box.

2006 Ford Explorer, horn beeps when locking with fob, not very loud, but when pushing horn inside there's nothing.... Any thoughts??

Do you have an air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? When pushing the fob lock button an the horns work, that's the electronic portion of the horn circuit . Controlled by the smart junction box , ford's BCM - body control module. That means the horns are good , the horn relay is good ,control from the SJB is good . Problem is inside upper part of steering column , Air bag sliding contact or clock spring .

2001 f250 airbag light came on horn won't work or cruise controls or automatic hubs won't lock. Is this all connected? It happened at the same time

The horn switch and the air bag and cruise control wiring in the steering wheel go through the clock spring, ford calls it air bag sliding contact. The clock springs have been know to go bad.

My horn blows after I install air bag

You'll have to take it back apart and find out what is shorting out the switch, or applying pressure to the switch without pushing on the bag cover.

OBD11tech thinks I have a bad clock spring on my 1999 jeep cherokee classic due to my horn not working & the air bag light stays on. Where is the clock spring & how do I change it?

it's inside the steering wheel
must be careful, because of the air bag.
disconnect the battery and wait for 10 minutes for the air bag capacitor to discharge power.
remove the air bag module from the steering wheel
remove the center nut, then steering wheel
the clock pring is a yellow round piece that fitted inside the steering column. there is a snap ring hold the clock spring in place. disconnect the wiring then remove the clock spring.

1999 FORD F250 SD 4X4 5.4L Air bag blinks several times then stays on ...no criuse working but if you push the on switch for the cruise the horn blows have checked all the fuses

double check with a Ford dealership, but it really sounds like a broken CLOCKSPRING just behind the steering wheel...it controls the air bag-horn-and cruise control...i had to replace one in my 1994 Bronco 2 years ago which the part was $120.00 at Ford.

My horn stopped working and the fuse is ok i need to know were to look now

It might be the switch in the steering wheel, to find out for sure, take a piece of wire long enough to reach the horn from the battery,
hook one end to the positive terminal of battery, touch the wire connection at the horn with the other end, if it blows, the switch in the steering wheel is bad. ( be careful not to touch any metal parts with the wire, you will get sparks).

Airbag light flashes 3 times then 6 times then stays on

This is for the driver's side air bag.
This may be due to a high resistance or poor connections in the side air bag (SAB) wiring harness circuits or restraints control module. This condition may occur on vehicles equipped with, or without, side air bags.
Ford has a Technical Service Bulletin out on this no. 03-24-1.
To service, install an overlay harness which incorporates soldered terminals and tin wiring. Refer to the service procedure for direction on which side air bag kit to order. Installation instructions and illustrations are included in the kit.
FOR VEHICLES WITHOUT THE (SAB), FOURTH DIGIT OF VIN IS "Y" OR "Z" :
  1. Install a new Non-SAB wire harness kit 3L2Z-14B455-AB. Refer to the installation instruction sheet included in the kit.
FOR VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH (SAB), FOURTH DIGIT OF VIN IS "C" OR "D" :
  1. Install the appropriate harnesses as indicated below. Refer to the installation instruction sheet included in the kit.

1998 Ford windstar horn wiring

There is something called a clock spring in the column that is used for the airbag, horn and cruise control buttons. This clock spring if messed with will cause a/bag light to come on and possibly cause a/bag failure if there is a collision. DON"T mess with the wiring in the column. Run new wires in to the horn or install an a/market horn.
