Why do the break lots stay on

brakes lights.....? If your brake lights are staying on looking under steering wheel at the brake shaft. There's a little plastic switch that's causing that. believe it or not when it goes bad your brake lights stay on..... Replace it...And you problem will be solved

Brake lights stay on after car turned off

There is a little stopper on the brake pedal that is missing you will need to get your VIN number and call your Honda dealer they should have it in stock. Put a little soap on it then snap in into the hole in the brake pedal where the stop light switch is. problem solved, good luck!

Nissan Altima 1995 Brake Light swith staying on

I know this is outdated but for those with this problem which i had too, it is a rubber stopper that attaches to the brake pedel itself to keep the switch depressed on my car for there is 2 switches and there is 2 rubber stops attached to the brake pedal. this being gone will cause the brake lights to stay on all the time.
