Did you check the starter relay? It might have gone bad because of an electrical surge when the new battery was put in.

check the starter motor itself. (go to napa or autozone where they can check it for free) When starters go bad they sort of ground out internally sometimes which kills the battery. Or the other problem, windings are burnt and so drawing so much current that it is more than the battery can supply. That would follow from your description of "everything work, but still would not start and just shut down" aka, turn key to power, all good as new battery, turn the ignition to crank, all dies... in a bit can sort of light up again, but won't crank. You might be able to whack the starter with a wooden stick (check on youtube for suggestions regarding your vehicle) to get it to a test location. Once running (while it is behaving like this) don't shut it off unless you are ok with being stranded wherever that is.

your battery or charging system is faulty. Jump start the car and turn on EVERYTHING! Then disconnect the negative side of your battery-if the car doesnt stall or sputter its your battery-if it does its your alternator.

My battery died and after replacing the battery nothing happens

Did you mean there is NO sound from the starter? The question says there is now sound from the starter. If it is a quick clicking noise, the new battery needs to be charged. Try getting a jump start for it or returning the battery, it should have come charged already. Not a good sign, these things sometimes bought new come with bad cells.

if all it does is click with a new battery it is not the alternator because all the alternator does is charge the battery i would take the starter or selinoid off if it isnt built in with the starter and have it tested the same as you did the battery

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Alternator issues?

have the alternator regulator and diodes tested. sometimes when the regulators fail they allow ac voltage to go to the battery. ac voltage doesn't charge the battery properly (causes it to deep cycle and shortens its life) and causes all sorts of funny problems with the car. also make sure the battery is secured properly, vibration isn't good for them at all.

Turn the key a little the power dies, turn it all the way and you just get a click. Lights shine brightly (battery is ok) everything in the car will come on. Can't jump it off either.

sounds like an ignition switch problem more than a starter. If the ignition switch is bad you wont be able to jump it either. Had an ignition switch go bad on me and it seemed like the starter was bad but mechanic swapped out sw and worked fine
