Hi, The first question is: Is it the 2.2L Ecotech four cylinder or is it the 3.4L V6? The four bangers' oil filter is located on the front and left of center. It will be a cartridge type and will be under a black plastic cap hat will have a hex shape on it. It is accessible from the top. The 3.4L V6 is accessible only from underneath the vehicle. If you slide from the front it will be also front and to the right of center (the right being passenger side) and will be a spin-on type filter.
Take care

SOURCE: fuel filter location

The fuel filter is located underneath the vehicle in front of the gas tank

Squeeze the white plastic quick-disconnect tabs together and pull the inlet line away from the filter, then detach the outlet line from the fuel filter, then unbolt the filter mounting bracket to remove the fuel filter from the car..

Where is the oil filter on 2004 pontiac grand am?

Oil filter on the 3.1 liter engine on the 2004 Grand Am is located on the engine, just below the exhaust manifold on the radiator side. To remove it, your going to have to jack the front up off the ground to give you room to get to it. Once your under the car, you'll see the oil filter just under the exhaust manifold attached to the engine block.

Thank you for using fixya and be safe.
