This Seems Indicative Of a Poor Connection AT The CLUSTER Or A Junction Connecter Close to the Cluster. This is Assuming you Have Ruled OUT ALL ABS COMPONENTS, LOOK at These VERY CLOSLY Because of the Small Volts These Wires Carry , the SMALLEST DEFECT WILL Cause this Type of Symptom that you have given. Please try all of the Above, I feel Confedint that athis is where your Problem Is.

What relay affects the instrument cluster? My instrument cluster intermittently cuts out for a period of time and then sometimes its back on. More often then not it is not working.

I think I would be investing time in looking for a bad earth(ground) wire for the instrument cluster or dash harness as what you describe is vindictive of a bad connection

Gauges stop working, engine won't idle

See the YouTube video on how to repair broken solder joints on your instrument cluster connector. This takes about an hour and solves a number of intermittent problems. I think it may be under "no start" problems.

Might be a loose or corroded connector. Remove the cluster and check the connectors. See procedure at link below. If conneectors look good but gauges contine with issue, replace the cluster.

Instrument panel lights out on 01 Dodge Grand

These vans have had issues with the PIN connections to the instrument clusters. With time the solder on the main PIN connection will begin to fail. The good news this may be repaired at home. First you'll need to remove the instruments. To do so remove the dash components from around the instruments then the (4) screws) that hold the instruments in place. Carefully detach the wire connection from the back of it; take to a well lit area. Look for a PIN with a failed solder joint (this will appear as a slight black or grey circle. If found apply heat and let solder be gin to flow; the allow to cool and reassemble. If you look at my history you'll see I've helped others with this issue. In cold weather mileage and gear display is on and sometime off with abs sign

I had a similar thing happen, but all gauges would go out and the abs light would come on. Take out the instrument cluster (10 min), unplug the wire harness from the back of the cluster and check all solder joints where the harness plugs into the cluster. Mine had 2 bad solder joints. I resoldered them and everthing has worked perfectly since. It took almost two years of searching for the solution to find this, including taking it to the dealer with no resolution. Total repair time is less than 30 minutes. Hope it works for you.

HELP! Problems on my 1997 Grand Caravan P1698, P0138, P0140

you need to go over your entire wiring harness, under the hood and inside the dash. Start with the ground wire on the battery and work your way inside. It sounds like there is a loose ground wire somewhere
