OK, take an OBD-II scanner and press the erase codes button when connected to the OBD-II connector below the steering wheel under the dash board.

The check engine light is reset with the scanner. You can also try disconnecting the battery for about 1/2 hour and then connecting it again. If there is a fault code the light will come on again.

Hello: Try this, Key on engine off Check for flor mat(s) under accelerator pedal, depress accelerator pedal all the way to floor 3 times within 5 seconds.

My service engine soon light came on what is connected to it what would be a list of possible service its a 2001 youkon denali????


There are over 100 sensors that can cause the check engine lamp to come on , retreiving the codes from the computer will be required to determine which part of the system the failure is in.

Hello joecradd: My name is Roger and I will help you. With the key on engine off. Depress the foot feet 3 times with in 5 second. If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL flashes for 5 seconds, the system reset. HOW DO I RESET THE CHANGE OIL LIGHT ONCE THE OIL


look in the manual......turn the ignition to the on position not starting it of course and then pump the gas petal 5 times then the light will blink a few times turn off then back on...problem solved
