From time to time the car just turns over and wont start and other times it starts right up and it will go for about 5 weeks and then it goes back to the same problem

Replace battery in fob pop open the cover half to find battery

Try turning the key to the right about 5 times,but don't start,that will prime the pump,

check fuel pump maybe bad pump or connection

On one of the occasions when it won't start back up, someone will need to figure out if you have lost spark to the plugs or fuel to the injectors to be able to troubleshoot the problem.

is the security light on or flashing? it sounds as if the security system has been activated possibly due to bad transponder or pass lock sensor.

check to make sure the main wire going to the starter is tight mine was corided and did the same thing ..just a thought

Some times when cars run out of gas and the pump has high miles/usage on them they want to die. Some times. I would replace the fuel filter to start with. Also there is a check valve it the tank if when running out of gas it sucked up some dirt it could be keeping the valve open letting the fuel run back to the tank. To check this turn the ignition on 3 or 4 times. if it starts right up then thats the problem. you can't fix it. hopefully the dirty will pass thru it. I would just live with it untill your pump goes out. It is all one unit anyway. And it's in the tank

your injector or fuel pump may be going out, next time when you check the issue, check your distubutor again and making sure you getting sparks, if you do have sparks than it has to be your fuel problems.

i have a 1992 isuzu rodeo its 12 deg. out -5 with wind chill truck would not start today played with batt.termanal and started went 1 mile or less to bank and stalled turns over fast but will not restart went back 5 hours later started right up got back home less 1 mile stalled in drive way and wont start.........help
