The cab in my 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 smells, does it, or does it not have a cabin air filter? I see conflicts all over the web, but major parts stores are willing to sell me one...

The smell is not from the cabin air filter, it is mold and mildew that is growing in the ducting and AC evaporator core, it needs to be treated with special chemicals to kill the mold and mildew, contact your local dealer or an AC repair center near you. Your vehicle shows that it DOES NOT have a cabin air filter.

AC comes on about 3 to 5 min after engine start

Yes this can be caused by a low state of charge inthe system. Have an AC repair shop hook up AC pressure gauges and verify this.

1992 buick century 3.3 liter fwd. transaxle wont shift from 2nd. to 3rd. acting like it's going into neutral. When fluid and filter were changed the sponge part of filter was detierated and not found in...

you want to flush out the trani most likly is the filter ran through the trani the check balls inthe shift siloniods are clogged with filter now, but if you have low/1 and reverse the other possibility is that you lost a clutch band inthe trani, that would require a new trani.

Looking for the in cab filters for the heating and ac in a 2003 yukon denali i can not find where they are located

Open glove box release hinges by pulling each side inward. There is an access compartment that needs to be removed to replace cabin air filter.

Heater core

You have to pull the dash almost out to replace the heater core. first drain the coolant and remove the heater hoses in the engine compartment. Next lower the steering column. there are 4-5 8mm screws onthe top of the dash, and tw 13mmbolts on the sides remove the kick panels to see them. Also remove the airbag module on the tranny hump under the dash.when all is unfastened you can pull the dash back on the passengers side back and almost put it on the seat. you will see the heater core on the top of the heater box. Discharge the ac and remove the heater box fasteners in the engine compartment . pull the box down inthe cab of the truck r&r core. sound worse thatn it really is good luck
