Why would my check engine come on my 1999 s320 Mercedes benz

there is a problem in either the engine or transmission
do a quick check on
oil levels
coolant levels
alternator belt condition and tension
power steering oil level
engine temperature
Then take it to an accredited service centre and have the fault codes read.

I need to remove a power steering belt form a 94 mercury villager ls

You don't lossen the nut holding the pulley
on the tensioner, you pivot the tensioner arm
to loosen the belt

The should be a hole for your ratchet in the arm,
to pull off the tension

IF THE TENSIONER IS RELEASED AND WILL NOT MOVE NOW IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BUT DO YOU HAVE THE BELT ROUTED CORRECTLY,I,VE SEEN THIS SO MANY TIMES IF THE BELT ROUTING GUIDE IS NOT STILL UNDER HOOD LIKE ON THE RADIATOR SUPPORT AREA YOU MAY OBTAIN ONE AT AUTOZONE FOR THAT SPECIFIC VEHICLE THEY WILL PRINT FOR FREE

Where is the tension pulley on a 1997 saab 900s

You mean the serpentine belt . Do you ? If thats what you mean, the tensioner is a component that has a bolt at the middle which when lossened with a wrench will lossen the tension on the serpentine belt it has a spring and can be moved . if it was a seperate belt it woud have a bolt and a brace with a U shaped hole in the middle. You would lossen the bolt and pull on the belt and it lossens up.
