Question about 1995 Chrysler Cirrus
It is not hard to do just be certain you have the proper socket wrench for removal and installation, proper way to do it is to have the system evacuated with a vacumn pump but if you want it done quick and cheap, be sure the engine is off as well as the a/c...just loosen the switch, wear protective clothes and googles so freon doesn't blind you or give you a spot of frost bite on your fingers when removing the switch. Make sure the new switch has thread sealant on the threads before installing to be certain the threads on the new switch wont allow any freon gas to leak out when the system is running.
IF YOU LOST A LOT OF FREON GET A FREON INSTALL FITTING KIT WITH AT LEAST TWO CANS OF FREON 134A AND INSTALL THROUGH THE LOW FILL PORT WHICH IS THE SMALLER FITTING THAT IS EMBEDDED INTO THE LARGER DIAMETER A/C LINE, (sorry for the caps) .............. make sure you have the a/c system on high blow full a/c and the engine idling while filling the system, if the freon wont gho in due to the a/c compressor clutch not engaging jump the new low pressure a/c switch connector out with a jumper wire accross the two wire terminals until you are done charging the system.
Hope this helps.
