Question about 2000 Ford Focus
Start by opening the rear gate (deck lid / trunk / boot) and using a small pointed tool , pop out the center of the retaining clips to loosen them to allow access behind the interior trunk liner.
This should allow you access to the rear of the tail light and the bulb holders / sockets to change the lights.
Do it right and replace all of the lights right away , keeping the old un-burnt bulbs as emergency spares.
